ASH Integrated Services is returning as sponsor of the Business of the Year category at the Wigan Business Awards for the third consecutive year.

Business of the Year is one of the most respected categories in the Wigan Business Awards because it looks at the wider picture.

Open to established businesses trading for over five years with 10 staff or more, the award recognises exceptional performance, continued growth, and a positive impact on both the people within the business and the wider Wigan community.

For ASH Director Antony Grace, supporting the category is a natural extension of the company’s commitment to championing business excellence across the borough.

Supporting the Businesses Behind the Borough

Having sponsored the category for the past two years and played an active role in the judging process, Antony has gained a unique insight into the calibre of businesses operating across Wigan and Leigh.

He said:

“Every year, the standard of entries reminds me how much talent, resilience, and ambition there is in this borough. Business owners don’t always stop to recognise what they’ve built, and the awards give them that opportunity.”

As a growing integrated mechanical and electrical engineering business, ASH understands first-hand the challenges that come with building and sustaining a successful organisation.

That understanding is one of the reasons Antony continues to support the category year after year.

A Category That Looks at the Whole Business

Business of the Year is widely regarded as one of the most competitive categories in the awards programme.

Rather than focusing on one area of performance, it considers the wider picture, including leadership, financial position, customer service, innovation, people, and contribution to the wider community

Antony added:

“The Business of the Year category is a big one because it looks at the whole business. Growth matters, but so do people, values, leadership, and impact. That’s what makes judging it so interesting.”

A Valued Supporter of the Awards

Launch North West Co-Founders and Wigan Business Awards organisers, Nichola Howard and Jo Leigh, welcomed ASH’s continued support.

They said:

“Antony has been a huge supporter of the Wigan Business Awards for several years, both as a sponsor and as someone who genuinely gives his time and insight to the judging process.

Business of the Year is the biggest category of the night, and it needs a sponsor who understands what it takes to build, grow, and sustain a business. Antony brings that understanding, along with a real commitment to supporting the local business community.”

Entries Are Open Until the End of June

Businesses across Wigan and Leigh still have time to enter this year’s awards, with entries remaining open until the end of June.

Whether you’ve experienced growth, invested in your people, overcome challenges, launched something new, or made a difference in your community, now is the time to share your story.

Antony’s advice is simple:

“If you’re thinking about entering, do it. You don’t need to wait until everything feels perfect. Sometimes, writing the application helps you realise how much you’ve already achieved.”

With entries now open, ASH Integrated Services is proud to continue backing the Wigan Business Awards and celebrating the businesses helping shape the future of the borough.
