The GM Skills Awards bring together employers, training providers, educators, apprentices, and learners from across Greater Manchester to celebrate excellence in skills, training, and workforce development.

The awards are delivered through a partnership between the Greater Manchester Learning Provider Network (GMLPN) and the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce.

This year, ASH Integrated Services Director Antony Grace was proud to support the awards as a judge.

Having spent more than 30 years working within the engineering sector, Antony understands the importance of developing future talent and creating opportunities for people to build rewarding careers.

Celebrating Achievement

Behind every nomination is a story.

A learner who has overcome challenges. An apprentice who has exceeded expectations. An employer that has invested in its workforce. A training provider committed to helping people reach their potential.

Judging provides an opportunity to see the dedication, effort, and commitment that often happens behind the scenes.

Antony said:

“One of the things that stood out was the passion people have for developing skills and creating opportunities. There are some incredible individuals and organisations making a real difference across Greater Manchester.”

Why Skills Matter

Skills development remains one of the biggest challenges facing many sectors, including engineering and construction.

As experienced professionals retire and technology continues to evolve, businesses need a strong pipeline of talent entering the workforce.

That requires collaboration between employers, schools, colleges, training providers, and industry bodies.

It also requires recognising and celebrating success.

Awards programmes such as the GM Skills Awards help shine a spotlight on the individuals and organisations helping to build the workforce of tomorrow.

Good Luck to All Finalists

The GM Skills Awards 2026 will take place on 2nd July at The Sheridan in Manchester, bringing together finalists from across the Further Education and Skills sector to celebrate their achievements.

On behalf of everyone at ASH Integrated Services, we would like to congratulate all those who have reached the finals.

Being shortlisted is an achievement in itself and reflects the positive impact you are making within your organisation, your learners, and the wider Greater Manchester community.

We wish every finalist the very best of luck and look forward to celebrating your success next month.
